Talk Printing Business Ownership as They Celebrate One Year
EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – Carmen and Erick Hofer have owned their Minuteman Press franchise location in Ellerslie for one year. Through their inventiveness, ability to create custom requests and their warm hearts, Carmen and Erick have endeavored to become the go-to printer and a trusted colleague in and around Ellerslie.
Carmen says they make themselves a unique printing and marketing organization. They offer custom made jobs on just about everything which is something other print shops can't offer. That is what makes them unique, and they like it.
Minuteman Press Edmonton Ellerslie has delivered some unique custom requests, such as, truck wraps, CD covers, and even a special design for a pool table. Not to mention the traditional business items and conventional printing basics like business cards, brochures, banners, postcards; as well as basic marketing needs like custom branded promotional products.
One of the most satisfying aspects of their work for Carmen and Erick has been the people they get the chance to work with and their remarkable skills to create and make their visions a reality. Carmen says that one of the things they like the most is finding how happy clients are with the level of work they deliver and how they are able to help other businesses with their needs. They get the chance to work with a broad range of people and businesses, from dentists to churches and lawyers and it’s something that they love to do.
From Sign Language Interpreter to Business Owner
Before joining the Minuteman Press franchise family, Carmen was a sign language interpreter while Erick worked as a plant operator for Rio Tinto. Carmen says one day they went to a franchise show in Edmonton. They went home and continued their research and found that Minuteman Press was something they both could do and the creative side of this business suited Carmen’s creative side and innovative side.
Carmen adds, "The background, support, and training provided by Minuteman Press also appealed to us. It is nice to have that extra layer of guidance as we continue to build our business."
Stepping Up in Time of Tragedy
On April 6, 2018, the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team was involved in a deadly bus crash in Saskatchewan. Through this unspeakable disaster, individuals and organizations from all over Canada and the world came together to help those families affected by this tragedy.
Like many other people, Carmen and Erick did their part to help. They printed T-shirts, ribbons, decals and other items to spread their support and encourage others to help the affected families. Their business was able to raise over $4,000 for those ones affected by the tragedy with 100% of the proceeds going to the Broncos. Carmen explains, “To be able to do our small part to help them meant a lot to us."
What's next for Minuteman Press Edmonton Ellerslie? They want to continue growing their business and their trusted reputation within their community.
