There are several things that make The UPS Store exceptional. It’s a proven business model, capable of adapting to economic changes. Starting first as an alternative to the US Postal Service, The UPS Store is now a full-service, one-stop shop for the business services that small business needs including printing, mailbox services, shredding, packaging and of course, shipping. With over 40 years of franchising experience in the US, and over 30 in Canada, The UPS Store is clearly a proven business model. The over 5,600 locations across North America, including over 385 in Canada, reinforce that point.
In addition, we carry the power of the UPS brand - a world recognized, world-class brand - in our name. As one of the most recognizable brands in the world, the UPS brand carries a great deal of strength in the marketplace and a strong, trusted reputation. That recognition and trust carries forward to The UPS Store, offering credibility in the marketplace from the moment a new store opens its doors.
With the services and expertise, they provide to small business, The UPS Store franchises are an integral and valued necessity in today’s business marketplace. They provide business service solutions and impeccable customer support to small business in need of big business resources.
Best of all, we have numerous franchise opportunities available throughout the country. Yours may be in a neighbourhood near you.

The UPS Store has simplified logistics for small businesses by providing a network of services in a single location. At The UPS Store, customers can take care of shipping, mailbox services, printing, and other business services in one trip, often right in their neighbourhood. While many places may offer similar services, our convenient locations and mix of business services, along with our world-class personalized service, keep The UPS Store top of mind.
Here are just some of the ways our franchise owners support small business:
.
Traditional Locations
Our traditional locations focus on bringing reliable printing, shipping and mail & package receiving services to small businesses and consumers every day. Whether these locations are found on main street, in a shopping plaza or within a business park, The UPS Store is a part of the neighbourhood.
A Traditional Location Ranges From $199,250 - $218,500
The total initial investment includes the franchise fee for a 10-year Franchise Agreement. It includes centre design, build out, and construction. It also includes fixtures, signage, computer hardware and software equipment, and initial inventory. And finally, it includes training. You should also plan for an additional amount of at least $40,000 in working capital for your first year.

.
Non-Traditional Or Store-In-Store Locations
The store-in-store model was created to allow franchise owners to establish locations within other businesses such as hotels and convention centres, self-storage facilities and more. Most recently, The UPS Store network in Canada has introduced a store-in-store model within Walmart locations in Canada.
This new store-in-store relationship places our brand in direct contact with millions of customers in conjunction with one of Canada’s leading retailers.
The investment for an In-Walmart Location is $85,000* Per Location.
This is a multi-unit offering only requiring a minimum investment in 5 locations
Much like a traditional location, the total initial investment includes the franchise fee, but in this case for a 5 year Franchise Agreement. It includes centre design, build out, and construction. It also includes fixtures, signage, computer hardware and software equipment, and initial inventory. And finally, it includes training. You should also plan for an additional amount of at least $40,000 in working capital for your first year per location.

.
Multi-Centre Ownership
The UPS Store also allows – and encourages – our owners to grow their business footprint in other communities with multi-centre ownership opportunities.
.
Site Selection, Design & Buildout
Site selection is very important, and we want to ensure your location provides you the best opportunity. This holds true whether we are looking at a traditional centre or a store-in-store location inside a big box retailer.
Each centre will have defined territory that is assessed individually by The UPS Store Canada corporate office. We’ll help facilitate centre design and construction. We’ll evaluate the size and shape of your centre and create a custom floor plan. We coordinate with local contractors to procure all construction permits and bids, as well as order and install equipment and fixtures. This helps us ensure consistency throughout our network.

We invest significant dollars in marketing each year to build awareness of The UPS Store brand nationally. However, local store marketing is vital to the success of our individual stores. Customers must be aware that we’re there and we’re ready to help with anything they need. We provide turnkey marketing solutions to our franchisees to help get them out of their store and into their local community. Learning opportunities are also provided to ensure our franchisees are fully prepared to market their locations.
