MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Snap Fitness, the world’s fastest-growing franchisor of state-of-the-art 24/7 express fitness centers, announces the appointment of Chad Vinson Ruf as Director of Personal Training.

With an extensive background in the fitness industry, Snap Fitness has brought Ruf on board to assist in building the personal training business with training, resources and programs designed to boost franchisees bottom line.

“With Chad’s wealth of knowledge, we are confident that he will provide our personal trainers with the best strategies and programs to help our members achieve their lifestyle goals,” said Peter Taunton, Founder and CEO of Snap Fitness. “Through his past work, Chad has shown the ability to establish strategic training programs which will assist us in continuing the growth of our brand. We are excited to welcome Ruf to the Snap Fitness team.”

As an ISSA certified personal trainer, Ruf’s resume is highlighted by more than 10 years of experience with companies such as Gold’s Gym and 24 Hour Fitness where he has helped develop the initial training protocol in the state of Colorado. Additionally, he has been responsible for the overall operation of multiple fitness clubs.

“I have always had a passion for the fitness industry and a desire to work with a fast growing company such as Snap Fitness,” said Ruf. “I am always looking for opportunities to center my career around helping others achieve their goals. With a company motto of focusing on complete member wellness and providing the necessary services to help them achieve their goals, I am excited to contribute my ideas and introduce new training programs to the brand.”

While Snap Fitness offers the same quality equipment as traditional health clubs, the booming brand is setting industry standards by focusing on complete member wellness and providing a host of products and services designed to give members better results and more value for their money. By scaling down in size and eliminating unnecessary amenities such as swimming pools and racquetball courts, Snap Fitness offers customers a quality, affordable workout with strong emphasis on customer service and convenience.

As part of their development in training programs, Snap Fitness recently launched easyFIT, a personal wellness program that helps users achieve their fitness goals and better results. The easyFIT device is used to track people’s physical activity and calories burned, allowing them to then download the information to their computer. Having opened its first franchise in 2004, Snap Fitness is the fastest franchise system to reach 1,000 club openings in such a short period of time. Today, Snap Fitness operates clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, India, Australia and New Zealand, with additional clubs currently being developed in the United Kingdom.
