Signarama, the biggest global sign provider in the world with over 850 franchises in more than 45 countries, is expanding yet again. According to Pierre Lachapelle, the president of Signarama's parent company, Gestion PER-LAC, the new Signarama sales outlet is located in St-Felicien, Quebec.
Signarama is already an established presence in Quebec with three locations, but the company has an aggressive plan in place to expand Signarama's base in the market. According to Roger Perron, Vice President of Gestion PER-LAC, the new location is part of an aggressive expansion model designed to increase Signarama's already significant market hold and share the immense experience Signarama has with franchisees and others in the industry.
Gaston Rathee of the city of Saguenay is the Signarama franchisee responsible for the investment in and opening of the new St-Felicien location. According to President Pierre Lachapelle, the outlet is another step in laying Signarama's foundation in the communication and signs industry in Quebec. The new location has a sizeable showroom, an experienced staff and the ability to offer graphics services customized to the needs of the client. The new franchise is also directly connected to Signarama's production center in Saguenay, creating a turnkey system for customers.
Signarama was founded in 1986 by father and son team, Roy and Ray Titus. The first location in Farmingdale, New York, was a success due to the knowledge of the Titus family and their recognition of the need for more efficient and convenient ways for businesses to obtain signage. By introducing clean, open showrooms and ingenuity into the signage business, they changed the way businesses ordered and received their signs.
The sign industry has grown rapidly over the last decade and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Currently, the industry has an estimated value of 49 billion dollars, according to the State of Industry Report and studies have shown that sign buyers make repeat orders to the tune of nearly 80 times per year. Signage can increase revenues for a business by as much as 150 percent, according to a study conducted by the Small Business Administration.
The Signarama franchise has received many awards and worldwide recognition for its commitment to excellence and quality. Signarama has been ranked the #1 sign franchise 11 times by Entrepreneur magazine, placed in the top 200 Franchises list ranked by Franchise Times and received the Presidential "E" Award, given to American exporting companies by the United States.
