Shamrock Burgers brings James Schwartz on board as VP of Real Estate

Shamrock Burgers, a landmark in the premium burger market since 1970 announced today that it has contracted James Schwartz of Retail One Real Estate Inc as its V.P. of Real Estate in order to grow the brand aggressively throughout Durham region and Ontario.

In the announcement, Greg Maleganeas, President of Shamrock Burgers said “Shamrock Burgers knows the importance of real estate. We’ve pretty well dominated the piece of Kingston Road where our first store opened in 1970. That’s why we’re excited to have James on board. His real estate experience is proven and he has a keen eye for finding locations that will not only work for our future franchisees but also work for our visitors.”

Schwartz brings decades of commercial real estate to Shamrock’s already strong management team. He’s negotiated real estate deals for CIBC, McDonalds, Tim Horton’s, Winners, Roots, Danier and is proud of his past exclusive relationships with Mr. Greek, William’s Coffee Pub, Urban Barn and the Sunset Grill. On the landlord side, Schwartz is highly experienced having negotiated deals on various tenants behalf’s with Smart Centres, Trinity Developments, First Capital, and Morguard to name just a few.

In addition to having been the Director of Real Estate, Ontario for Riocan REIT Schwartz is currently the President and Broker of Record for Retail One Real Estate Inc in Toronto.
