Ottawa, Ontario – March 10, 2008 – Retire-At-Home™ Services, a Canadian Home Health Care company, awarded a franchise last week in the Weston/401 area as it continues its plans to expand across Canada.
“We are very pleased to be bring the
Retire-At-Home™ concept to the Greater Toronto Area, building on
the great success we have seen in Ottawa” stated Jonathan Martin, Vice President Franchise Development of Retire-At-Home™ LP
during the company’s announcement.
The Retire-At-Home™ concept, founded in
1994 by a nurse in Ottawa, is to provide
premium home health care to seniors dealing with a health crisis.
“Since the launch of our franchising effort last summer, we have
received interest from hundreds of people across Canada. And,
although the response from candidates has been incredible,” states
Mr. Martin, “we are very careful to find only the most qualified
people that best reflect the qualities of the Retire-At-Home™
brand, continuing our tradition of providing quality care to
seniors. We don’t take our decisions lightly - great people
create great businesses and partners.”
“I am excited to be chosen by
Retire-At-Home”, stated Della Arthur, the company’s first
franchisee. “The company philosophies of dedication and
commitment to quality of life are evident in everything they
do”. Ms. Arthur, a resident in Toronto, has 20
years experience in executive management and, at the tender age of
nine, became the primary caregiver for her ailing mother for the
next two decades.
“I have been personally touched by sickness in my family,
providing constant care to my mother for many years.” continued Ms.
Arthur, “I have a deep desire to help seniors and I feel
Retire-At-Home can truly help me do that.”
Home Health Care is one of the fastest
growing industries in North
America. As the Baby Boomers
age, 1 in 4 people will be a senior within the next 20 years. Their
impact is already being felt as today’s decision–makers for their
parents, causing the demand for personalized home health care to
skyrocket. Retire-At-Home™ has positioned itself perfectly with a
franchise model that combines strategic growth for its franchisees
with personalized services for its clients.
Ms. Arthur is expected to open her doors in April and plans to
partner with many community organizations in her area to help bring
quality care to seniors at home. “I’m looking forward to
working for myself and to begin making a difference in people’s
lives!”
In 2007, Retire-At-Home received its national accreditation through the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation and expects its franchisees to attain this accreditation and maintain national standards.
