Pizza Pizza continues its Canada-wide growth initiative with the opening of an 11th restaurant in the Greater Montreal Area. Located at 662 boulevard des Laurentides in Laval, the new restaurant is the second to open its doors on the North Shore, and contributes to Pizza Pizza’s objective of establishing a solid presence in Quebec.
Pizza Pizza made its first foray into the Montreal market through the Universities. McGill University was Pizza Pizza’s first location back in 2000, followed shortly thereafter by Concordia University in 2002. After partnering with the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, concessions were opened throughout the Bell Centre. The first traditional restaurant would open a year later in 2008. Since then, the company has steadily built a solid network with over 100 employees, while also seeing a 15 percent increase in sales in the province.

The franchise owners and Laval residents, Réda Begar and Habib Zelleg, share more in common than just their entrepreneurial ambitions. They both also possess solid business experience, high quality standards and a commitment to providing superior customer service. Having been in search for a franchise opportunity for some time, Mr. Zelleg credits Pizza Pizza’s vast business potential and human approach as his deciding factor in joining the company.
Laval’s newest location will feature the standard menu and store format seen at the other traditional Pizza Pizza locations across the country. The 1,500 square foot store seats approximately 10 people. A total of 12 employees will staff the new location in variety of positions including kitchen staff and delivery drivers.
