Montreal, Quebec - May 9, 2011 – Pizza Pizza, Canada’s largest pizza chain, has announced the launch of a new store design that responds to the needs of the current marketplace in Quebec. The new design will not only improve the company’s ability to better serve its customers, but it will also require considerably less investment capital for franchisees. The announcement is part of an overall thrust in Quebec that seeks to considerably increase its presence throughout the province.

As the company continues to refine its growth strategy, it has identified 30 additional regions that meet its demographic and market criteria for development based on the demand for pizza in the area, ability to meet distribution needs, field support access and marketing. Priority regions for expansion are in Laval and the greater Montreal area.

“We are confident in the success of this new design and locations that will open across this thriving province,” said Sebastian Fuschini, Vice President of Franchising at Pizza Pizza. “Sales at our existing locations in Quebec continue to experience significant growth, indicating that the pizza business is flourishing in this part of the country. The new store design will open up incredible opportunities for people looking to become their own boss.”

Pizza Pizza has already begun its expansion throughout the province, with a new location in Parc Extension at 410 Jean Talon West near Parc Avenue opening mid-May and others set to open later this year in Laval. This brings the total number of locations in Quebec to over 25 when you include non-traditional kiosk locations in Quebec, such as The Bell Centre, Saputo Stadium, McGill and Concordia Universities, theatres and La Ronde Theme Park.

The new design stores are available now for development and start at $200,000.
