Papa John's International, Inc.
(PZZA), the world's third largest pizza company, said Monday that
it has signed development agreements to open 57 more Papa John's
restaurants throughout Canada.
Under the agreements, 20 restaurants will be built throughout the Atlantic Provinces by franchisee PJ Atlantic Franchising Ltd., while 10 will be built in Saskatchewan by MJ Taylor Holding Co., 15 will be built in Western Ontario by Bajco LLC and 12 will be built in Eastern Ontario by PDR Associates Inc.
Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Each franchise group has committed to opening at least one restaurant in 2008, Louisville, Kentucky-based Papa John's said.
There currently are 14 Papa John's restaurants operating throughout Western Canada, and more than 3,200 worldwide, including 450 international restaurants in 28 countries.
