Junk Removal Company Opens First Toronto Franchise
TORONTO, ONTARIO…. Just Junk.com , a Niagara-based junk removal service is set to open their first Toronto area franchise on Aug 15th The new franchise will serve Etobicoke and the Toronto Central West areas.
“We’re really excited about breaking into the Toronto junk removal market,” said Mike Thorne, president of Just Junk. “We see Toronto as having almost unlimited potential.”
Just Junk-Etobicoke-Toronto Central West will be owned and operated by Tom Dickson. As a graduate of Georgian College’s Business Administration Automotive Marketing diploma program, Dickson previously worked, for nearly 20 years, in the automotive industry before purchasing the rights to one of the largest Just Junk Franchise territories for sale in Canada. Tom is excited to build Just Junk into a household name in the Etobicoke and Toronto market.
Ironically, it wasn’t all that long ago that the phrase professional junk removal was an oxymoron. But today there are several factors influencing the growth of the industry. Aging baby boomers wanting to downsize and no longer willing or able to haul junk to the curb, the mushrooming home renovations market, and the shorter life cycle of many manufactured products are all contributors.
“We are professionalizing the junk removal business. We go way beyond up front rates, uniformed staff and clean trucks, we ensure all employees wear boot covers, demonstrate good old fashioned manners and are sensitive to the requests of every customer” said Tom Dickson, Just Junk (Etobicoke and Toronto Central West), Franchise Partner.
Just Junk supports the communities they serve and assist with numerous environmental community initiatives. Through Just Junk’s Ahead of the times campaign Just Junk’s franchise partners can donate a percentage of their revenue’s to their local conservation organization to help protect their communities watershed and green space.
Tom Dickson firmly believes in Just Junk’s environmental awareness programs he says, “People always want to be more environmentally conscious when they are getting rid of their materials but they don’t know how – we are the perfect solution”. The company’s predilection for environmental concerns is a natural fit given the foundation upon which it was built and continues operating. Over 60 per cent of the material Just Junk removes from homes and businesses is either recycled or donated to local charities. Even salvageable construction debris is donated to Habitat for Humanity.
Just Junk ensures that the remaining material is disposed of for further processing at the landfill or transfer stations.
