From its original shops in 2007 in the beach resort-towns of Duck and Kitty Hawk, N.C. to now over 100 locations, Canada’s first Duck Donut shop has opened its doors. It is locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Diana and Stuart Reid of Burlington, ON.
Now available across Canada, Duck Donuts offers exclusive franchise territories and an established business model. Opened in May, 2022 the 1,525-sq.-ft. Burlington indoor/outdoor space reflects the franchise’s iconic beach theme. The family-friendly atmosphere features picnic tables and a viewing area where children and adults can watch their donuts being made to order.
Each location offers coffee, espresso, milkshakes, sundaes, breakfast sandwiches and of course. . .donuts! Coated with a range of delectable topping options ranging from chocolate icing with sprinkles to ‘Beach Ball’, ‘Strawberry Shortcake’ and ‘Bacon in the Sun’, with maple icing with chopped bacon, these donuts will satisfy everyone from the traditional to the more adventuresome.
