KFC recently announced all its 5,500 U.S. fried-chicken restaurants
would switch to a cooking oil with no trans fats by April 2007.
More major fast-food franchise chains are now proposing to get lean
by cutting trans-fat from their list of cooking ingredients
·McDonald`s plans to cut trans fats in Europe by
2008 (Reuters.·Souper Salad also recently joined
the trans-fat free train. It will remove trans fats from its
restaurants by Dec. 12 (PR Newswire)·IHOP who runs
more than 1,200 pancake restaurants in North America, said that it
was testing trans-fat-free oil as other restaurants begin making
