7-Eleven Trialing Cell Phone Payment Technology

7-Eleven and MasterCard announced they are partnering on a pilot program in the Dallas Texas area that will let about 500 consumers use their cell phone to make purchases. Nokia phones will act as debit cards, and will work at any of the 32,000 retail locations worldwide that currently accept payment by MasterCard''''s “Contactless PayPass cards”.
