Canadians emerging from COVID-19 restrictions are looking forward to a year of networking and developing their new ideas and ambitions, and there is certainly plenty to look forward to, particularly for those interested in franchising.
Why go to an exhibition?
Whether you have already joined a franchise and want to meet your co-workers or wish to speak to a variety of people to decide what feels like the best fit for you, attending a Franchise Expo is a great way of finding out what your options are. Franchise exhibitions are an opportunity to learn what other people have done to drive their brand forward and discover what help is available, and the opportunities for networking and building friendships are endless.
What exhibitions re-started this month?
Your first opportunity to attend again a Franchise Expo this month were May 6 and 7 at the EY Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Then, the other two-day event, ran on May 14 and 15 at ExpoCite at the Centre de foires in Québec City. Both events gave attendees the opportunity to meet franchise owners from a huge variety of industries and at all investment levels, as well as to attend seminars and ask questions.
What exhibitions are coming up next?
On June 2 to 4 we have the International Franchise Expo 2022 at the Javits Center in New York City, the world's leading event, organized by the Comexposium Group. Then from September 10 to 11, in Canada, we have the Toronto Franchise Expo announced to take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This has traditionally been in Mississauga, so we have to pay attention for a possible change of site.
With many more people taking control of their financial futures, becoming their own boss and working flexibly around their families and hobbies, this is an exciting time to be running a franchise business. There is such a wide choice of existing franchises that you can become a part of, and if your lockdown project has taken off to such an extent that you wish to grow it through franchising, you are sure to make useful contacts and learn the best and safest way to do so through attending a franchising exhibition.
The world is your ocean! You are bound to make useful contacts at an exhibition, and it's up to you how far you take it. You may find the perfect franchise business to be part of and become your own boss, developing your own network of customers and building your reputation. Furthermore, you may be an existing franchisee who picks up useful tips and advice and uses them to build your brand and expand your reach, or you may be a business owner who gets the confidence to franchise and grow your business, expanding into new areas, developing new contacts and achieving new heights of success.
