Sweet Beginnings™ Burnaby/New Westminster is now open!
Sweet Beginnings™ is a British Columbia-based Wedding Consulting and Event Planning firm, dedicated to delivering the highest quality of service. Sweet Beginnings™ new Burnaby/New Westminster franchise officially opened for business June 1, 2009, and will serve the Metro Vancouver cities of Burnaby and New Westminster Durham region, and surrounding areas.
“We’re very excited to bring the premium services of Sweet Beginnings to these two communities,” company President and Founder Elana Lancit said.
New Franchise owner Ridma Silva joins Sweet Beginnings after working in the travel industry for many years as a destination wedding specialist.
“I was heavily involved in planning trips for renewing vows and planning the perfect destination wedding,” Silva said. “I’m hoping to express my creative side through this franchise, planning the perfect events and weddings for people living in Burnaby and New Westminster.”
Silva, a Burnaby resident for 15 years, also brings years of event planning through the B.C. Sri Lankan Association Cultural Community Association, including New Years’ Eve galas and banquets.
“Ridma’s community involvement makes her the perfect person to grow the franchise in this key area of British Columbia,” Lancit said. “Her passion for event planning, paired with her background in destination weddings, makes her the perfect candidate for expanding the company.”
