Mary Browns Raises $55,000 for The Children's Wish Foundation

Mary Brown's Famous Chicken and Taters presented a cheque for $55,000 to The Childrens Wish Foundation on December 1, 2011.

“Thank you to all of the Mary Brown’s Franchise owners and their dedicated team members, media, special guests and above all customers for purchasing our Signature Big Mary Sandwiches, and for participating in the other in-store donation opportunities,” says Nigel Beattie, President and COO of Mary Brown’s. “We are truly grateful for the generosity and kind-heartedness that was shown by all Mary Brown’s customers. With the support of everyone, Mary Brown’s surpassed last year’s results, and truly set a precedent for the years to follow.”

People visiting Mary Brown’s also had the opportunity to purchase a paper cloud for two dollars, sign their name and hang their cloud throughout the store for everyone to see.

"In our effort to strengthen our support of organizations that support children, we have recently announced The Mary Brown's Fund. One hundred percent of monies raised through The Mary Brown's Fund will be directed to organizations that are dedicated to enriching the lives of kids."

The Children’s Wish Foundation is aimed at helping grant a special wish to children with life threatening illnesses across Canada.
