World Poker Tour Amateur Poker League is the unifying organization for the free poker world allowing independent Tour operators the opportunity to “sanction” their events through WPTAPL. By sanctioning your events with WPTAPL, the players in your area will immediately take advantage of all the benefits of WPTAPL:
  • A chance to win prizes worth in excess of $250,000 including: WPT Main Event & Celebrity Invitational seats, WPTAPL Cruises, WPT Boot Camps, buy-ins to Canadian Poker Tour or other events and top of the range electronic merchandise.
  • WPTAPL will award a minimum of 13 seats in WPT Events each year.
  • A chance to play WPTAPL tournaments for points and cash online at PartyPoker.com. In addition there will also be EXCLUSIVE Freerolls for WPTAPL Members to play without making a deposit.

To get started running WPTAPL events, first you must apply for and be granted a WPTAPL Canadian License. Licenses are granted for specific territories and once there is WPTAPL license within that territory, no other licenses will be granted or allowed to operate within the boundaries of that territory.
