The Porta Via™ concept was developed in the summer of 2006 in Etobicoke, Ontario as a gourmet Panini restaurant offering dine-in, take out and corporate catering. We steadily evolved into a modern culinary concept centered on fresh innovative meal creations – a cut above and healthier alternative for today’s busy lifestyle. In January 2011, Porta Via™ opened its second location in Markham, Ontario, which was a big hit right from the start, with a reputation as a leading corporate lunch caterer. Porta Via™ Franchise Corporation was subsequently established and began offering franchise opportunities in 2012.
The quick service restaurant industry is saturated with food ideas that are not focused on quality, but rather simplicity. Pre-cooked and processed products are used extensively in today’s market. That’s not what we are about at Porta Via™. We are mindful of our menu, and take pride in offering a selection of high quality products made only with the freshest possible ingredients. That has been the root of our success and we want others to share in that pride and success.
